Hot towel warmers is essentially a small box that can warm up various items such as towels. The towel warmer simply plugs into the wall socket and heats the contents to a certain temperature. There are a few models on the market and they all do about the same job.

The spa towel warmers can be used on other items of clothing and linen apart from towels. They are especially handy during the cold winter months where you have the choice of heating winter clothing. Before going out into the cold you could warm up your gloves, hat and socks if you wish.

It should be noted that these hot towel warmers are quite small, so you would have to heat larger items such as blankets separately. You would probably not be able to warm up a blanket larger than a double either.

Make sure that you have the option of putting in damp towels, especially if you will be using them in a salon. Towel warmers that allow damp linen normally have a drip tray for the water to do into. If you do use damp towels, you need to clean the inside regularly, otherwise it will start to smell.

Certain makes do come with a timer so that you can have the device turned on at a certain times of the day. As the have a thermostat they are safe warm up linen through the day. It is best to refer to the instruction manual for guidelines on how long they can be on for though. If the towel warmer does not have a timer you could plug it into a wall timer if you wish.
